Vitro
manufactures parts using a variety of materials to meet our clients
scientific glassblowing needs
- All standard sizes of
borosilicate (Corning Pyrex®, Schott®) tubing and rods.
- Quartz (General
Electric®, GTE Sylvania Osram®, Hereaus Amerisil®, and Philips®}
and high-silica glasses, known for ultra-high clarity, high thermal
shock resistance and their ability to withstand temperatures up to
850° centigrade.
- Sapphire for optical
windows and connectors sealed to other glass components.
- Glass to Metal seals
to accommodate stainless steel, platinum, tungsten, and Kovar®.
